Orthogonality
An experimental design principle which states that no one factor being tested can be correlated with any other factor being tested. For example, if we are testing the exclamation point (!) and the phrase “Limited Time Only,” they can appear together in only one Variant. If they appear on more than one Variant, the test will fail because it is not orthogonal.
